London 9th August 2011 - Rat Scabies joins The Members, 

The Members now comprises of Singer Songwriter  JC Carroll "the Ray Davis of Punk" Chris Payne singer and bass player who first mixed Dub and Punk and the man who played on the introduction to the very first Uk Punk record Rat Scabies.The Members were formed in 1977 in Camberley Surrey by original Lead Singer Nicky Tesco. (Tesco has retired from live work with ill health). They were quick to establish themselves as one of the wittiest and inventive Punk Banks mixing wry social commentary with Football terrace Anthemic Choruses . Gary Bushell coined the word Oi when he reviewed them. NME's Tony Parsons called their first Single of Stiff the best record stiff ever put out and later dubbed Sound of the Suburbs the News Waves equivalent of pleasant valley sunday. Sound of the Suburbs is an anthem that echoes around the world its a Million Selling Single that guarantees every Members Show ends in a riotous celebration of UK Punk rock at its best.Since a back to basics European tour in February this year the unit of Carroll Payne and Scabies has gelled into a Exciting power trio. Wowing European audiences with their grit integrity and uncompromising barnstorming performances. Scabies has been in the Studio with the band & have recently released a new album titled “Ingrrrland”The Members are a national institution and with Scabies on the Drums they have a Legend of Punk Rock, they are booking European and American tours now.
